Hello readers,

Instead of the usual rant from Hydra or analysis from Yiska, I’ve come today to recruit some people for this project in order to help us grow and become more influential within the community. Now obviously there will be advantages for you if you wish to join the staff here at Hydramist, whether you want eFame, an influential voice in the community, or simply become friends with the Godmode group of players; and providing we reach the targets we have in mind, there will even be financial rewards for you.

So here is a list of what we’re currently looking for on the site, and how to apply for the various positions posted.

Graphic Designer

We’re looking for someone who would call them self a Graphic Designer / Artist to join the site and help with the development of the forums design and the new upcoming design of the site. Providing your work is good enough, you will probably be offered work in the Hydra and Kalimist movie series in order to do title art or in-game interface. You will not be responsible for the design aspects of the site, only the graphic parts which make it look prettier when I need them (Header, Feature Images, etc.) You will be working alongside me in the artistic direction of the site; so this means you will have to be able to get on with me on a personal level.

To apply for this position, please send some examples of your previous work. If you need somewhere to upload your work on the web (which admittedly is probably already uploaded), use SadPanda.us or something.

Once you have work / portfolio ready, feel free to message me on the forums here with some an introductory and any information you feel about including about yourself.

Streamers

We are looking for some high quality streamers to add to our current streaming roster. We don’t care about whether or not you are American, and while having you exclusively streaming on this site would be nice, it would be not required, as you’re probably busy trying to give yourself a higher profile in the community.

• A verified Livestream account or X-Fire account,
• A minimum team rating of 2.5k in the 2v2 or 3v3 brackets; a higher ranking in your battlegroup will make us more willing to add you.
• You need to be an active streamer who streams at least 3 times a week.

The positions available amongst the streamers will be competitive; in other words you will be competing against each other in the amount of hits and the quality of play you produce on stream. If you stream sound it will be a HUGE plus in our eyes.

Writers / Bloggers

We’re looking to add 2-4 high quality bloggers to the site who will post blogs on a set schedule. In this position you will be working under Yiska in order to achieve the best quality articles you can. Any and all articles you will write will be about World of Warcraft in someway; we have no specifics in regards to what you write about; be it PVE, Player Drama, Team Drama, or Arena; we don’t care as long as the quality is consistently high and on time.

If you are willing to write but are unsure about your mastery of the English language, this isn’t a problem as we have a few people on the staff team already who are willing to correct the article and teach you how to improve your English if you are willing. You will be taught about how to use our blogging script and will have executive privileges on the forum.

Yiska will have the ultimate say on whether or not your article will be posted on the site. As the goal is to teach you a basic understanding of what works and what doesn’t, this might include scratching parts or re-writing them. If you are new to writing to a (gaming) audience, don’t hesitate to apply if you have ideas for interesting and entertaining content. Hydramist might be your entrance to e-sports journalism or just a way to share your opinions with a big community.
