Hey, I havn’t written anything for a while mainly because I lack inspiration. So I decided to sit down and take a look at cataclysm was miraculously… uninspired. I guess ill talk about regionals first since a lot of people are probably thinking whats up.

It’s pretty simple really: we didn’t perform on the day. Yes rmp is strong if played well but if you dont perform, you lose and it’s as simple as that. It’s not some ridiculous setup where the hardest thing is turning up to the event. The day before we skirmished stay small and Inflame’s team and beat them both ~20-5 so obviously its not a setup issue, but a player issue. People who watched our games should know what i mean, i will say no more. The event itself was great, a chilling room for the players and pretty much free run of everything at the event.

The atmosphere in the evening afterwards was pretty chilled with all the players having a drink outside (I think barb particullary enjoyed this part) then heading into town for a drink with the blizzard guys. Chris and I had our flight scheduled for 8am the next day so instead of missing the fun we decided to pull an all nighter and grabbed breakfast at the hotel at 6am before getting a lift off angry german businessman driver guy to the airport.

I was thinking about writing something about the cataclysm changes for priests but to be honest they are still subject to change so much that i’ll leave it to a later date. A couple of things i will say, i find the new talent trees disguisting and they pretty much sum up what blizzard has been trying to do for a while now – Making every aspect of the game as easy as possible for the clueless playerbase that they have already created with their wellfare bullshit. Blizzard is breeding an army of braindead kids. Wonder which country they are gonna take over.

[13:20:22] Kalimist: maybe when activision owns all the money in the world and it is not even a currency anymore the game might be balanced
[13:22:26] Kalimist: people need to stop raging at the devs they are actually not doing a bad job considering what they are asked to do I bet

[13:22:47] Kalimist: but things look promising for cata alteast, with Skillcapped people investing on the competitive part of the game that is good news alone I will say no more.

What to expect in the future:

• Innervate is now combined with Lifebloom, when you cast lifebloom you gain 1000 mana. If Lifebloom is dispelled the dispeller’s whole team will gain full bloodlusted warlock dots and the Lifebloom wont be dispelled anyway. Lifebloom now stacks infinately. (no cooldown)

Blizzard – we feel this change should eliminate the need to use anything at all other than lifebloom, although according to Souler, this is the way to go anyway. Its gonna happen, you heard it here first.

P.P.S No but to be fair to them, if you try to please everybody, nobody will like it. So i guess atm they must be pleasing their pockets.

Should be releasing some more class guides in the next few days so keep your eyes out for that. Hydra8 is pretty much in editing phase, just need 1-2 more clips and it should be good to go. If anyone has any music suggestions feel free to post them in the comments or mail me on the forums with them if they are super awesome and top secret etc.

With the aftermath of MLG and Loaded black proving that RMP is still viable on tournament level more and more RMP’s have been springing up over TR. I’m fairly happy about this since I find RMP mirror to be the most fun match up; wizard cleave and melee cleave being incredibly dull to face in comparison.

After testing both mutilate and Shadow Dance RMP out, it became clear that both specs had their strengths and weaknesses vs various comps, swapping between the two on lan play when you know who your opponents are will be very powerful indeed. Overall thought, Shadow Dance seems the stronger on the European TR at least due to all the Wizard Cleaves. Hopefully somebody can come up with a counter to LSD before its too late and every team at regionals only has two players since none of the elemental shamans could read the map.

Bloggers

Contact Yiska on the forums with your application if you’re interested, ideally this should include a short sample blog for Yiska to evaluate and choose ideal candidates. We are looking for both Feature writes (1 off things) and consistent writers for these positions.

Streamers

As always we are looking for high caliber streamers (consistent 2.6+ ratings) however if you maintain a large viewer base with slightly lower ratings then be sure to still apply. Contact Hydra on the forums with your application including:

• A link to picture of your character to be used in the banner
• Your main character’s armory
• The link to your livestream

Guides

We’re looking for volunteers to write short class guides (no specific match ups) similar to the ones currently available on the site. Contact Hydra on the forums with your application.

The requirements for this will be the same as the streamer requirements in order to ensure quality is maintained throughout the guides. Bare in mind that in future, specific match up guides will also be needed and if you wish to write these too then you will be paid. The following class guides are needed:

• Hunter
• DK
• Paladin
• Warrior
• Warlock
• Mage

Designer

We’re looking for designers to create a logotype for Hydramist, anyone interested should contact Syeren. This will be used in all future projects, you will be credited, and it will look good on your portfolio for the amount of exposure the logo will receive.
